The price of cashew nut in the world may be increase again because demand increases in July, August

Export Bureau determines the price of cashew nut in the world will rehabilitate again because the demand increases since July, August to satisfy consumer’s demand on Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Export Bureau (Ministry of Industry and Trade) showed statistics of the General Department of Customs said that, exporting cashew nut on the first half of June in 2019 ranks 18,6 thousand tons, undervalue 132,43 million USD, increase 6,3% about quantity and increase 2,6% value compare with on the first half of May in 2019, increase 12,9% about quantity but decrease 11,7% value compare with the same period in 2018. Accumulated since begin of the year to the first half of June in 2019, exporting ranks 174,7 thousand tons, undervalue 1,343 billion USD, increase 9,6% about quantity but decrease 13,6% about value compare with the same period of 2018.

The first half of June in 2019, average exported cashew nut value ranks 7.099 USD/ton, decrease 3,5% compare with the first half of May in 2019, less 21,7% than the first half of June in 2018. Accumulated since begin the year to middle of June in 2019, exported cashew nut value ranks 7.689 USD/ton, less 21,3% than the same period of 2018.

In the on the world market, 20 first days of June in 2019, on general, price of cashew nut is stability. Few countries in the final stage of the harvest such as India, Viet Nam, Ivory Coast, Guinea-Bissau and Senegal now reduce pressure of over supplying. Export Bureau determines the price of cashew nut in the world will rehabilitate again because the demand increases since July, August to satisfy consumer’s demand on Thanksgiving and Christmas. Besides that, price of kernel cashew nut in low effect positively to demand of consumers.
